So many things have changed since we purchased our seven-boat charter operation in Ft. Myers in 1984. We may not see the changes ourselves from day to day, but we have come a long way. One thing that has not changed is  our basic philosophy - to offer well managed, well-maintained yachts to our students and charter clients and to provide the best yacht brokerage service possible to all of our customers.
Like many of you, we started out in boating for pleasure. We have been sailors, cruisers, Captains, charterers, and boat owners ourselves. We know how important proper maintenance is to the life of a vessel.  
We invite you to come and meet us and see our operation. When we search for a vessel for a client to place in our charter program, or to use as a private yacht, we customize that search to meet the owner's needs.

Southwest Florida Yachts, Inc. Form Partnership

Curtis Stokes & Associates, Inc. and Southwest Florida Yachts, Inc. are pleased to announce formation of a partnership to jointly offer yacht sales, charter, training and management for their respective clients.  
Under this new partnership Barb Hansen, owner of Southwest Florida Yachts, will join Curtis Stokes & Associates brokerage team and continue to manage and operate her existing yacht charter, training and management companies. Barb will work with the Curtis Stokes & Associates’ team to help market and sell boats in Southwest Florida utilizing the extensive Stokes’ marketing program. Southwest Florida Yachts, based in Cape Coral, Florida celebrated its 35th anniversary in 2019.
For new buyers, the partnership will offer a buyer-brokerage service, try-before-you-buy chartering and training onboard one of Southwest Florida’s charter fleet power or sail yachts. For buyers who want to buy a yacht but aren’t ready to cruise, their new yacht can be placed in Southwest Florida Yachts’ charter fleet, earning income to help offset expenses until they are ready to cruise personally on their own. Another option will be management of their new yacht by Southwest Florida Yachts, until the buyer is ready to start cruising.
The partnership will offer a similar service to sellers, where sellers can place their yacht in Southwest Florida Yachts’ charter fleet, while the yacht is listed for sale with Curtis Stokes & Associates. Southwest Florida Yachts can also manage the maintenance on the yacht for the absentee seller, while it is listed for sale. 
“Barb is very well-known and respected in the yachting industry,” said Curtis Stokes. “ We are honored she has decided to join our 50-member team. We are also excited about being able to offer these additional services to our clients through this partnership.”
