• Upon receiving your charter deposit and resume, we will mail you a Charter Agreement and a Cruising Experience Resume to complete, sign and return to us for approval.

• Your charter begins with the first "night" (you may board any time after 1200 hours/noon) and may run for example, 3 days-3 nights or 7 days-7 nights, etc. The day after boarding the boat is considered your first "charter day". Your charter concludes at 1700 on the last day.

• The minimum bare boat charter is 3 days. Please note that there is a five day minimum on charters during major holidays such as Christmas, New Year's, Easter and spring break, and a three day minimum during the Thanksgiving holiday.

• All yachts are fully insured. A damage deposit, which is the insurance deductible amount, is required on all vessels in accordance with their insured value. See our rate sheet for amounts.

• Navigation limits extend from Cape Romano (Marco Island) to the south, to Venice Inlet to the north, and Lake Okeechobee to the east. (Sorry, no cruising to the Keys or Tortugas.) Please call for details.

• We offer an extensive vessel check out and chart briefing prior to your charter. We do not wish to insult anyone's cruising knowledge; however, we insist on providing you with a full knowledge of our boats and some tips about our local cruising area. Please allow 1 to 3 hours for you and your crew to listen in. If you arrive no later than 1400 hours on the first night, we may be able to conduct your check out prior to closing at 1700 hours. (Depending on operational and staffing demands.) If you arrive after 1400 hours, your checkout will take place the following morning. Charts and cruising guides are available for your pre-charter planning. Please call us for details.

• We want to remind you that our office is open from 0830 to 1730 hours Monday through Saturday and from 1300-1730 hours on Sunday. When returning from your charter, please allow time for fueling, washing the boat down, general clean up, and removing your gear from the boat. You are responsible for fueling charges and holding tank pump out fees upon your return. We also have a post-charter check list we would like to review with you before your departure. Experience tells us that this generally takes about 2-3 hours. The vessel must be in her slip with our check out complete no later than 1700 hours. Overtime charges apply for late returners.

• Charges for losses or damages incurred will be deducted from your damage deposit. The balance of your deposit will then be returned to you within 30 days after the end of your charter, unless damage occurs or parts and equipment must be ordered. You will also be liable for labor involved in effecting repairs should that be necessary. We will do our best to make repairs as quickly and cost effectively as possible; however, we need your help in reporting to us anything which might need our attention.

• We pride ourselves on the clean and well-maintained yachts in our fleet. We expect to have the boat returned to us in essentially the same condition as it was received. If the yacht is returned In less than satisfactory condition, we may charge you for a clean up fee.

• Pets require special approval and an additional non-refundable service charge of $300. Please call us with your special request.

• We would like to remind you that many suntan lotions and oils leave stains on decks, sails, cockpit cushions and Interior upholstery, Please keep this in mind when selecting and using a tanning/screening product. Non-oily lotions are best.

• Use of the VHF radio should be kept to a minimum.

• Please remember to wear deck shoes only on board your yacht. This does not include black-soled shoes such as running shoes. Boat shoes only, please.

• All of our vessels are equipped with the proper Marine Sanitation Device (MSD). Their use will be covered during your briefing.

• NO SMOKING below decks, please. If you smoke inside your yacht cabin, you will be charged a fee to steam-clean all upholstery and carpeting on board.

• As private yachts, most include inflatable dinghies and motors. Please check your yacht's inventory list. We offer Inflatables with motors for your use during your charter (One week minimum). See our rate sheet for prices.

• Captains and instructors are available. If you require a Captain, crew or instructor please let us know in advance. We can arrange for qualified personnel to join you for all or part of your cruise. See our rates' webpage for Captain/Crew fees.

• At least one individual must have experience and demonstrate proficiency handling a vessel of similar size and complexity as your charter yacht. You should also have a working knowledge of navigation, charts, compass, mechanics, and on board electronics. Upon receiving your Cruising Resume, we may have additional questions for you. However, you should also know that if, upon boarding, we are not satisfied with your vessel handling ability, we may place a Captain or Instructor on board at your expense until such proficiency is demonstrated.

• If you'd like to hone up on your sailing skills or just take a leisurely cruise, you may want to try one of our smaller sailboats. See our rate sheet for details.

• Space is at a premium on any vessel. We suggest that you travel with only the gear you deem necessary, Including the appropriate clothing for the season (ask us and we can give you some tips), use soft or canvas luggage and totes which may be stowed easily on board or plan to leave excess pieces of hard luggage in the car. Due to our limited office space, we have no room for storage.
